Constance Mims
Senior Managing Member
"My philosophy about practicing law is to always remember that my clients are people, not paychecks - they have come to me with a problem, and it is my responsibility to help them find a solution.
The most important thing in my life is my family. I count several of my closest and oldest friends as family as well. My secret to staying happy is family, family, family. Every week and weekend in my life is filled with dinner parties, afternoons in the park, movie nights, game nights, coffee house get-togethers, and countless trips to the bookstore for new adventures. Also, I looooooove to travel!
I have a beautiful Husband, Dereck Mims, and we have a blended family that includes my son Kevin, and my husband’s children, Dereck Jr., Halee and Aireyuna. I think that my love of family, along with my blended-family home life, is a very important influence on my ability to empathize with my family law clients."

Constance Mims is the Managing Member of the Beal Law Firm. With over a decade of experience practicing exclusively family law and three years of experience as a family law paralegal, Ms. Mims has dealt with child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, alimony, and divorce issues, both in court and in the appellate arena, on almost a daily basis for over 13 years.
Having been admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, and a longtime member of the College of the State Bar, which recognizes attorneys who pursue excellence through voluntary attendance of continuing legal education programs, Ms. Mims became Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2013.
